From National Chair / Some updates
Last post by Curtis Kitteringham - Tue, 11/19/19, 12:16 AM
I will be posting pictures and info from the 2019 Champs, my calendar has been full since the Championship. With the AMA EXPO right after the champs, started looking into the 2020 Championship and looking for sponsors.
The Coachella RC Club has canceled for this year due to event conflicts.
I also have received sad news of Tom Wolf's passing on Nov 6th he was surrounded by his family,
as for the scale community that knew Tom, he was a quite person, but was always willing  to help advance the scale hobby.
Tom will be missed

Just wanted to thank the whole Scalemasters team and the Clovis RC club for a great event with good turnout from pilots and public !
The Clovis club deserves a big round of applause for the amazing job they did in getting the field in shape for the champs and this was much appreciated by all who attended. I look forward to competing here again at this beautiful venue which will continue to improve with time.
This was very well run event, good vibes were in abundance with many new friendships created and others rekindled...also nice to see some younger pilots competing, keeping the spirit alive and doing very well in competition.
Keep up the good work!

From National Chair / 40th USSMA Championship
Last post by Curtis Kitteringham - Mon, 07/29/19, 01:08 AM
This will be the 40th USSMA Championship we have had a long and great history with model aviation. The USSMA has had the great pleasure to have many great modelers as part of the group and at the championships. Its an Honor to know and compete with these ICONS of the hobby.
Now for us to stay alive we need your help with sponsorship for the up coming 2019 Championship. We have open sponsorship of our Best of's Awards alone with Gold, Sliver and Platinum sponsors. If you can or know of someone PLEASE contact me from the USSMA web site.
  Update on this years Champs,
The host hotel will be he WYNDHAM Garden Fresno web site https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/groups/gn/us-scalemaster-grand-championship
That is a long address but for you website savvy users you should not have any problems, we will also be holding the Saturday nite Banquet at the hotel.
Now for a foot note the West coast has taking some hits in the loss of flying sites, so the door is open to all contestants that have flown in the pass DAVIS Championships, if you have lost your site and have no qualifier in close driving area CONTACT myself or Randy Warkentin for an invite. For last years contestants (2018) you are are automatically invited, this will also include the 2017 Championship Contestants you are automatically invited. Many of you went to both the 2017 and 2018 Championship you got to enjoy two of the finest sites wide open over fly and something we do not have in my area GRASS RUNWAYS. At this years board meeting we will be talking about how we look at qualifying for the USSMA Championships. All I ask is if you wish to fly at the 40th 2019 USSMA Championship    PLEASE CONTACT MYSELF or RANDY WARKENTIN  I know time is short.
Thank You I am looking forward to seeing you at the 2019 Championship
