Not just past Qualifiers any that you have we all would like to see.

So I am not much when it comes to posting but this is something that I would like to see happen. I would like to have pics of Qualifiers, Members, and there planes. This includes build pictures too. I think we would all like to see them. If you don't want to post them for what ever reason just send them to me warks62@gmail.com and I will get them on the USSMA Facebook page. I think it will be fun and enjoyable. Please send them in we all would like to see. As far as build pics I know it can be intimidating but I have found most enjoy them we the builders are the ones that critique them the most not the members.

  The 2018 Championship is in NEED of Sponsors, like many events that need large amounts of money, we are no different. For many years we have done OK with maintaining our bank balance but in the last few years cost have gone up, which simply means we have lost money. This has put the USSMA in a position we have not been in for over 10 years, I am asking for your help to keep the USSMA a live. With this up coming Champs we need sponsors to step up to help cover the cost of the trophies, this can be as simple as sponsoring a class. Each class has a set number of trophies- Expert 5 trophies counting the Grand Champ, Team 10 trophies ( Buider/Pilot ), Advanced 5 trophies, PROAM PRO and PROAM Sport 5 trophies each. A FULL SPONSORSHIP  would be $800.00 for Expert including the Grand Championship trophy, would be $1.000.00 for Team, would be $600.00 for each of the PROAM classes. We also have 34 awards for BEST of's to hand out to the contestants in a number of categories each one is a $150.00 sponsorship. This is not an easy thing to ask for help with the Trophies, we have been very lucky over the years to make ends meet with just the sales of the Best of's and contestant count but that was then and this is now. PLEASE CONTACT me if you know on someone/business that would sponsor full or part of a CLASS or would like to sponsor a BEST of Award contact me direct or though this web site. This posting is to keep the USSMA alive and well  for the future. The US. SCALEMASTERS Association Thanks You for your help with this.

  Ok its that time of the year to start thinking about the USSMA Championship, for 2018 we will be hosted by the
Baton Rouge Radio Control Club in Erwinville, Louisiana their web site is www.batonrougerc.com, the date is Sept 13-16 -2018
with Sept 12th as a check in day. The hotel is the Hampton Inn & Suites, 2755 Commercial Dr, Port Allen Louisiana 70767
(225) 389-6655. So far we have received information from Gun Smoke in Az, all 2017 Championship Contestants are
qualified/invited to the 2018 Champs, so you the contestants get the CD's to forward the information from the qualifiers. Each year
we have too dig this information from people lets make this year a start on getting the needed information to us in a timely matter so
we can pass on the invites.

This latest album is only 20 photos. It's certainly not every plane that competed. My camera at the time ate up batteries 
plus I also took about 4 hours of video while also competing in the new "Open - Class". This was my very first Master's
contest.

We know of 15 (9 from SoCal so far) going for sure. There's 11 signed up on RCFlightdeck and 4 more of us not using RCFlightdeck.

If you are going, please show your interest here so the host clubs ( ONE EIGHTH AIR FORCE & Arizona Model Aviators ) can get a head count.

Thanks Jeff for the update. As for the front cover always having the date on it....I understand but being that we are in 2018 and having the front cover reflect the year of 2016 on it is a bit miss leading. If in the future there isn't a change within the competition guide it would be helpful to all members and non members competing to have at least the front cover date changed to reflect that it is the latest and greatest issue.
