Central California Scale Qualifier

This is the first annual Qualifier August 28-29 2010
Registration will begin at 7:00 am with static at 8:00 on Saturday. Flight judging will start soon after. Awards to be given on Sunday.
There will be a BBQ Tri-Tip dinner at the Airport Saturday night. Hotel accommodations  available at Airport.
Field will be open Friday for practice. We fly on the south side of the Madera Airport. We have a 150' X 1500'+ paved runway with a large flyover area. We have covered areas for Pilots and spectators. Free Camping is onsite but no hookups. Food will be available for lunch.
Pre registration will be appreciated so that packets will be ready. This is so we can accurately plan the event.
Anyone interested in judging please contact me we could still use two more judges with previous judging or has competed.

UPDATE: Just to so there is no missunderstanding the Qualifier is open for Contestants right up to Saturday I have NOT closed registration we are still accepting more so don't hesitate to come. I had set the date so that I could make sure that we had enough staff to cover the event and we are set and ready see you there.

Just a quick update. Scale Masters has given an offer for our Qualifier in that if you have NOT already Qualified for 2010 and you Qualify at the Central California Scale Qualifier in Madera you can use the Qualification for 2010 or 2011. This is great news and gives the contestant a choice. Good luck and see you there.

Just a thought if you have shade I would advise bringing it. Summer has not been to bad this year but it will be in the 90's in the afternoon so shade will be wanted. We do have a pretty good amount of covered area in the Pit but more is always better see you there.

Randy-- The move to allow a contestant to use this event to qualify for 2010 or 2011 is a GREAT one.  Big thumbs up to USSMA on that one.

I have some work business that is scheduled to go into this weekend.  If it falls through, I'm still thinking of coming down early Saturday.
